Welcome to Bud's World

Hi I'm Bud. I live with Phil and Flo and they think I belong to them, but that is not the case. I was one of 14 pups born in a little closet in Virginia Beach on 12 April 2001. Only 7 of 14 survived. I was not the biggest pup but Phil did have pick of the litter so I must have be special; at least in his eyes. My Mom, Seven, she was named after a Star Trek character, is a mix breed Rottweiler and Labrador retriever. My Dad is full-blooded German shepherd owned by Sue Cardnial. My Dad is pretty big and he is really brave, so is my mom. But right now I just weigh in at about 20 lb. I am practicing my dog tricks with the other dog who lives with us, Oso, but he is old and doesn't like to play much. If you want to, you can come by and play with me too. Some of my favorite things are sleeping when everyone else is awake so I can wake'em up at night, eating, annoying Oso, and biting anything that moves with my new teeth.

Bud became the official greeter of the Floria household and friend to all who stopped by. He was always with me when I was home and never let me go out to the garage alone. All of the people that visited were his friends; some of them even brought bones and treats for him. He and I would discuss many things while we were out there in the garage; from motorcycles to the meaning of life. He was an astute listener, always pondering on what he heard, and he could keep secrets better than a priest in a confessional could. We've had many dogs in our house and I loved them all, but this one big dog; Bud managed to find a way into my heart where no dog has ever found. His loss is deeply felt far greater than even I expected.

Bud Summer of 2005

Bud, family member, head of security, Feng Shui Master, friend to all; passed on to dog heaven on 20 October 2011 while in the arms of his family. He graced us with his presence and love for ten years, he was a large dog who left a very large hole in our hearts.
